NEK Lakes conditions

Wondering how much snow and slush remain on various lakes
in NEK? Would greatly appreciate any updates as of todays conditions.

I will make some phone calls tonight... But my guess is that it is not good... Hopefully with the cold nights over the next few days things will tighten up again... Hopefully...

Magog has lots of slush on it... no vehicles out there except for one crazy guy... That is all I know, good luck!

I went out Monday up to willoughby and it was nasty, brooks were busting loose...there was 8" of good ice under the slush and crap on top..It was bad in some spots, but a lot of it remained hard and made the walking easy..

I was out by the twins today, its pretty much all froze over.  We had our trucks out there, you are all set if you stay off the snow drifts. The truck breaks through where there is snow but not enough to get stuck.  The worst spot was just after you get on the ice, after that you are all set. One of the guys with us had his 4-wheeler...no trouble with that. quite a few people were bringing shacks out for the tournament this weekend.

How was the fishing out by the twins today? I was planning on hitting it this weekend. Looks like I should have plenty of company.

It was slow, the smelt weren't hitting that hard, we only caught 10 perch and had 2 or 3 flags on the trout tip ups. The trout were running a little then dropping the bait.
