How are the ice conditions? I would like to get out later in the week?

Drove by the access about 5:30...There is ice most of the way to the hill (on the point)...Could not tell how many people had been on or where due to snow melt, but what snow was left on the ramp showed footprints and a snow mobile track...There were a couple old holes below the bridge...

I'll check it again tonight and maybe cut a hole...

There was still ice as of dark but the telling thing to me is that there was no one there...

People have been cutting holes at the bridge, and so did I...
I did not wet a line, but the ice was safe right at the bridge
when I was there...The north wind took all the 'new' ice
and crunched it...The only ice left is the stuff that was there
before the last snow...

The holes I cut at the bridge went 6 inches of white ice,
a layer of water and then maybe 2-3 inches if ice below that?
Weird layering...

I think just for S & giggles, I will go drown a maggot and a mousie this AM...

I went out this morning on the bay only about fifty yards out.  not much ice maybe three or four inches.  Right infront of the river and there was flow ice pilled up about 150 yds out all the way to the first point sticking out from the peninsula but other than that I didnt venture out anymore than that.

Tight Lines Boys!
