Go into the bay just south of the Champlain Bridge.  That spot is loaded with crappies.  Just look for the shanties.
A bent rod is a good rod!

I think it is RT125(???)  The Crown Point Bridge.  You can park underneath the bridge on the Vermont side, or there is a State Access area toward the south end of the bay.  If the perch/crappie bite is on, you will see probably 6 or so shanties on the Vermont side of the bay.  I used to use small pimples with a perch eye or minnow tail.

Champlain Bridge? Where is that? I've never caught a crappie before...
