Careful with those trucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An 80 year old ice fisherman was finally found yesterday, dead, in his truck underwater after missing for a few days.  No joke.  We've had freeze/thaw/freeze/thaw and we're in the middle of another freeze/thaw.  Check with Gilly before driving on there may only be 8" of ice this w/e.  Our ice has been spotty this year

Here's the link

Let's we all pray for his family

The employment of effort, hard work, time, and energy put in locating fish will offend noone.

I drove by Pontousic Lake in Pittsfield Mass on Sunday and there were 3 trucks all parked within 25 feet of each other!! how the hell they weren't in the water i don't know.  I don't think they have balls I think they're either crazy or stupid.

I was fishing Missisquoi Bay Sunday and there were trucks all over the ice.  Where we were fishing there was 12 to 13 inches.  As you head out towards the border and the Highrocks the ice went down to 10 to 12 inches. We will be pulling out trailer out there for the derby as well.

No bridge needed this year at least on sunday.  Pressure crack was noware to be seen (which is why he builds the bridge inorder to get over it safely).  There is a boat lauch just down the road where you can get on.  We will have the GMRS or FRS radios out so if you have one give a shout on channel 7.

Have you guys been getting the rain like we have down here?  The ice has pulled off the shore quite a bit on my local waters.

We got a good dumping of snow in the north/central part of Vermont. More snow than we got in all of January. It's going to be sloppy on the ice this weekend.

haha, believe it or not, i did have a few.  i sold a whole bucket for gas money, so i returned, and i had about 10 fish in it, and the wind was so bad, it just took off when i stood up to put another one in.  it sucked balls.

Hey Guys,

Gezzah and I fished Basin harbor area today an had no snow on the ice.
I live in Central VT and could not believe the difference in the amount
of snow from home to Vergennes area. We had 8-10 inches of ice
close to shore. Lake frozen over around the Palisades but we did not
walk way off shore. My guess is 4-500 yards from shore the ice becomes
sketchy, did not like the color. Open water roughly 4-5 miles north
of Basin Harbor.
