Shout out to Gilles at Martins General store in Highgate on Missisquoi Bay.
We fished this weekend Sat-Mon in the wind and cold. We rented 2 campers which he
set up for us. Campers stayed warm despite wind (howling sat) an cold. Campers have heat, stove and
are tight no drafts. Campers sleep 3 comfortably or 4 tight but doable. He checked on us 3 times Sat, once/twice Sunday
and recharged my Dewalt batteries Sunday delivering them
when charged. He set us up on fish (pike) in an area they were catching walleyes. We caught
lots of pike with one good one at 30 inches. It was our 30+ annual ice fishing weekend gang of 8.
Yeah we dropped some coin at his place, rentals, bait, beer, gas etc
Tons of ice guessing 20 inches. For the guys from down south whom always wanted to fish Champlain for pike with shot at
walleye, bass, perch. You can't go wrong.
