Title: Bomoseen Derby
Post by: tightlineusny on Feb 18, 2008, 04:52 PM
I  was wondering if they still held the Bomoseen derby in memory of Bomoseen Bob (Bob Newton). They use to hold this derby in memory of him (he was my Pop...Grandfather). We had alot of great memories on that lake. He was known as a fishing legend as he and Tom Evanoika were icons. He knew that lake than any other man, in one of his diaries he fished for something like 186 days straight. He was also known for the jigs he tied for Tom's bait, they were packaged in a package that said hand tied by Bomoseen Bob. Thanks for any info
