tip up sinkers
« on: Jan 13, 2009, 08:09 AM »
I was wondering what type of weight everyone reccomends for rigging tip ups for large walleye.   Also fishing for northerns so will be using titanium leaders with trebles.   Minnows will be five to eight inches.  In the past we have used 3/16 bullet sinkers above the swivel.   Is that to much weight or not enough in your guys opinion?

Thats the setup i use, same leader and a treble with a big healthy minnow. I just use medium sized split shots on each tip up.
