Got this little fellow out of the Conn. R. just south of the border on a jigging Rap (perch color) earlier this year.

Nice fish! How much did it weigh? Was it at night?

I am not really sure what it weighed....8lbs maybe, its definately not the biggest one we have gotten but it was pretty nice.  caught him trolling a fat rap brown.orange in the afternoon a few hours before dark.

Well, if you want to talk about soft water, we had a hell of a time one evening last fall on the Conn. River.  Again, just a few miles south of the VT border.  We only kept and photo'ed these three

My buddy with a brace of 5+ pounders

Me (stll dirty from work) with a four+ pounder

I think we nailed eight that day.  We were floating med. shiners off an eighth ounce slip
sinker in about eleven feet of water.

Those are some beauties!
Nothing like fishing monster walleye in the rivers or boats. By far the most challenging fish which makes it the most fun I think
