Yeah, I'm ready! Anybody got any ice conditions, please share them here!

I am in Colchester. I've got absolutely nothing to share...well the rt 127 skating pond has skimmed over a few times, lol. Hope to hear of some ice soon somewhere...as always my goal is to be on the ice on or before December 31.

Same here nothing to report yet i live in Central Vermont around Windsor,Vt  i hope we get some cold artic weather soon i love to be able to get out... Always seem to find something to get out on by New Years in lots of years past. It does seem tho every season it gets warmer and warmer Global warming is real and it shows past few years in my opinion. Anyways hope everyone has a safe ice fishing season and please use extra caution especially on early ice when there hasnot been alot of cold weather yet.....Happy Holidays everyone

Located in Wallingford; just south of Rutland.  No ice to speak of.   But I’ve got the itch!!   Cannot wait to get out on the hard water & get into some fishing action!!!
Good luck & tight lines

Tip Up !!!

South Bay - Magog,  had started to freeze up,  but the wind and rain took care of that.  Hopefully the daytime temps start dropping soon.

I drove up from the North Hero area to Swanton. Pretty much everywhere on the smaller bays have some skim ice. If the wind stays down and the snow doesn't come we should have some fishable ice by this weekend in some of the bays like Dillenback, the passage and above the RT 78 bridge.

My goal is always to get out on New Year's. I will take a drive this year but I think that's all it will be- a drive, not fishing. My realistic goal for first day of the season is Jan 14 based on the forecast. Not good!

did a bit of scouting yesterday and found a pond with 6 to 7 inches of ice - mostly clear new ice with an inch or 2 of white slush ice on top.  Came back today to fish.  Slow fishing but managed to land a decent pike and a small yellow perch, so the season has started !

Drove down to Bennington County this morning. Mostly open water on Hortonia and Bomoseen. St. Catherine was open to the north and ice south of the bridge. A few people were out on the ice on the south end.

I haven’t been ice fishing yet. Got my gear ready yesterday, waiting for safer ice to venture out.

Not much ice anywhere and we're looking at at least 10 days of above freeing weather.

Pretty lame. I am sure some are going out this weekend but not me, not worth it IMO.
I'm thinking maybe next weekend - looks cold overnight at the end of next week. But unless March is very cold this will be my shortest ice season ever. Stinks.

PS this is the first New Year's Eve in several years I'm not fishing. Yeah I'm sad!

Couple years ago Lake George froze for 3 days.  We got over laker water for 5 maybe 6 hours and it iced out and never froze again.  Ive been enjoying the open water in the boat with no traffic at the launches.

Really great day Friday. Went to the setbacks in Brattleboro. 2 nice perch, a small pike, pickeral, a good sized Largemouth and lost and even bigger one when the line broke at the hole. Finished with a decent crappy.
