Build a hardside A frame style
« on: Aug 16, 2022, 06:45 PM »
So I'm pondering building a hardside and I've never seen one built like an A frame which makes sense to me as you only need center to be 6' to enter and exit plus it seems like it'd be less apt to catch the wind and easier to keep  the heat down and rigidity for sturdierness for hauling low and wide , thinking out loud trying to gain some feedback constructively please dang just realized posted in wrong  forum  hopefully mods will move oops

I have a similar one but it doesn't fold and has a solid roof. Insulated with 1.5" rigid insulation, the wood stove keeps it like a sauna at -20 temps! It has 4 holes, a fold down table and a fold down double bed for overnight stays. Glued and screwed with the bare minimum of lumber and plywood, it's lightweight and solid and fits on the back of a truck.

The more I fish, the less I know about fishing...
Send me a PM if you'd like info about how I built my ice shack
