equipment question
« on: Mar 26, 2022, 02:11 PM »
Hi all.  Been a couple years since I've been on.  Still go out a couple times a year but not as much as I used to.  Anyhow, I keep my gear in a storage unit and it was broken into last week and my gear was stolen.  Pack basket, traps and my auger.  I am working on identifying my equipment for a report and I cannot remember the brand name of my auger blade.  It is light blue...maybe Nils?  Are there any other blades this color?  Can see the auger blade (kind of) in this picture.  I know it is an 8" blade, attached to my icegator auger head.  Thanks for any help.

Tom

That blows your stuff stolen.   From my view it looks like 8”ion gen 2 with battery and charger.

Wrong color auger. I agree with Strikemaster Mora on an Icegator head. From the blade cover, definitely NOT a Nils. Hope you recover your gear. Ski

Now that I heard the name, I do think it was a strikemaster.   I remember those as being black, but the Mora is blue also.

Thank you!

Strikemaster Lazer hand augers are black in color.

Do not want to burst the bubble but that is an Icegator Attacker 11, easy to identify when the pic shows the name....

It may or may not be up your alley, but I was given an older Jiffy gas auger, and have been holding it until I thought someone could use it. I never fired it up, but it looks like a brand new carb on it. If you're interested, send me a message. I'd take a ride over there for a couple of hours of brook fishing.  :)

Speaking of karma, Mow wanted to give me a bunch of awesome gear, but I insisted on paying. His prices were way too low, and he threw in extra stuff at the last minute.

There are good people out there. Sometimes ya find them.  :)

Thanks for the offer. Yes, it was an Icegator, not an ion. It poked a lot of holes in Newfound over the years too ;)

Yeah, Mowbizz is a great guy including his wife Shobizz. Miss seeing them out there on the ice. Good karma.
