My buddy is in the market for a flasher .
Marcum He can't decide between the m1 or m3
Any thoughts, Is the m3 worth the extra money?

I can’t comment on the M3 but I have M1’s and an M5 and as far as I’m concerned there isn’t much difference.  I mostly fish in 40’ or less of water, maybe in deep water it would matter?   
I bought the M5 because you can move the zoom up in the water column rather than just use it on the bottom.

I just got the m5L this year.. used it a few times and I love it...
He wont be disappointed in marcum products whichever he decides .... imo

It boils down to fishing style ...then features you need..then want ..and always price  and availibility ..Some good deals on M1 out there now ..most are in the Fleet stores..shipping seems almost impossible

Add your location County and State ..could be a retailer near by with a sale and stock
