Can't find one, anyone else seen one for sale?
« on: Jan 05, 2022, 03:12 PM »
I'm looking for the ice kit to make my Humminbird Helix 5 usable for the good fishing season.  I need the one that's compatible with the CHIRP and G2.  I've looked everywhere I can think of, but haven't seen one for sale.  If anyone comes across this particular critter, let me know please.

talked to humminbird, the new ones won't be available to consumers on their website until the retailers have gotten theirs.  just looked at the other place, backordered.  Thanks though.

Out of stock until Jan of 2023. None in the states and next batch is being made in July, should hit distributors in early 2023.

The transducers are selling for over $400 on ebay currently, I'd try that and try to get lucky and get one in the 250-300 range if you really need it

Yeah its a pretty bad situation. Maybe you will get lucky and someone has one laying around that they want to "pass it forward" with and sell it at retail price. Hope so, that would be real nice of someone.

The shortage is the real deal, there are no ice transducers, no kits, and no ice units available in the US unless you get really lucky at a small store that nobody has raided yet. Most every one of the ice units has been purchased and parted out for profit.

Guys have been trying to find them for months. Someone posted they found one on FleaBay for 350$ used and no guarantees. He didn't bite.

I've got my Marcum vx-1pro, so I'm not going without.  Just was hoping to be able to use the gps and charts with the helix
