A transducer arm. I've seen the advantage over the float that came with. Oh, and one new spoon. lol.

Only other money I'm likely to spend is on bait. Keep it simple. The season is often too short.

Moved from gas auger to cordless drill with pistol bit and got a 3 man (realistically 2 man) Ice Runner flip end of last season. Only got it out 1x past year, so I am still calling it new.

Also picked up a pair of ice runner float bibs. Besides that, just a few jigs and some organizing racks for the way too many ice rods. Built a few last season and itching to put them to use. Ready to get on the ice!!

Seems like the place to take about it so... ht nero auger drill kit.
2 new 6.0 Amp hour porter cable Batts
New/ backup 20v porter cable brushless drill. Ist one died. Using older brushed drill, wanted a spare just in case.
Plethora of new jigs, blades, and baits through the year.
Can't wait til tax season... eskimo outbreak 450.

Since last year....
All upgrades for 2021............

I've sold off my Marcum LX5 and upgraded to a Marcum LX7 Lithium.

Sold off my Eskimo 10" HEAVY shark auger and upgraded to a super light weight Ion 8".

Just bought a nice set of used skis on Marketplace and I'm rebuilding and upgrading my Smitty as we speak.

And anything else I can think of before safe ice happens..

I ordered 10 new 5mm custom ice fishing jigs from Michigan. I counted my existing ice fishing jigs and I only had 80. I counted them after I ordered the new ones in my defense. And then I thought about last year when I really only used four of them the whole season. But hey I’m ready.

I just got my 10 in jiffy STX drill from jiffy. I bought a demo for half price and it looks new. Jiffy is great for customer support.

Bought a 8" lite flite auger from a place called Pro Fishing Supply free shipping, no tax but you should pay it 😲 179.99 cheapest I found thought it was a fluke I figured PayPal will return money if I didn't get it, but 5 days later I got it all we need is ice.

I bought an 8" Eskimo pistol bit, and an adapter, so I can attach it to my propane auger instead of lugging it around with the 10" bit that came with it. Gonna be so much lighter.

Bought one of those eagle claw ice fishing rod cases and love it. I am able to fit my rods, 5 tip ups, all my tackle in them

Ice Runner has great prices. I just bought the bibs and my buddy got a full suit. Did not use them yet with no ice, but they seem to be pretty decent quality.

Replenished, more like added to jigs I did well with last season, which means they will stink this season.
Urgently eyeballing the strikerIce Hard water bins and strike master lite flight but ain’t making any major purchases until we have ice- gotta avoid the jinx.

My wife bought me the BOREAS float suit from WindRider (per my request). I did a lot of research and shopping around for a quality float suit that wouldn’t break the bank. I decided that this was the one that I wanted. No ice yet, so I haven’t been able to use it. But I will say that I love how it fits. It seems to be really well made. Big tough zippers, thick outer layer, room for movement… I did get a XXL. Would normally wear XL, but the sizing chart suggested that I should go bigger. I’m glad I did. It fits perfect. I’m 6’2” and 200lbs. I like extra room for layering if I desire it. It seems very warm. I tried on the suit in my living room and started burning up quick. I never got that toasty dressing for shoveling snow in my living room. And I wear the thickest carharrt bibs they make. Best warranty and customer service that I could find from any other manufacturer. They are worth a look.
