I don't blame you. Especially these type batteries. I've heard of a couple of guys using them for powering the trolling motor on their boats. Didn't end well. Caught fire. No more boat. Figured it may have been faulty onboard chargers. Never heard the final analysis. I did start using an Amped Outdoor brand last year on my Vexilar with no issues. But I was never too far away when it was charging.

They have both a 40V and an 18V version. The 18 V version looks a little handier. Should be nicer than a drill, since the handles and trigger are designed to be used in this orientation.
