What is the best way for me to rig up my tip-ups for catching northers???
Men and fish are alike.  They both get into trouble

heavy main line 30+ lbs....wire leaders or circle hooks if your usin mono....I like treble hooks on my wire....size 4 or 6.....weeds and structure....pike will be shallow now and move deeper as the ice gets thicker and there is less oxygen in the shallows.

I use a simple set up, dacron, fire line, or 12lbs mono (no wire leader)  Good sharp bait hooks, I too like the circle hooks,  1/4 oz split shoot about 8 to 10 inches above the hook.... For bait, I like creek chubs if i can find them, if not large golden roaches work well too.  I hook them behind the dorsal fin...Also remember that Northern come up to their prey, so don't fish on the bottom.  If I am fishing in 15 fow I will Put the bait down about 10 to 7 fow.  Just one mans opinion... Good luck
