i'm incredibly excited this year, because i'm getting a bonus that will let me be able to buy a vexilar genz pack, ready to fish. battery, charger, everything.
what are you guys' big purchases this year?

The wife surprised me by buying me a Striker Ice flotation suit.  Otherwise I have everything I need.  I may start saving up for a marcum lx9 for next year, pending reviews.

Well we got a dog, so now all we need is a2013 license and gas, which the gas will be huge a huge expense.

Man I wish, my bonus could have bought me a brand new Polaris Ranger Side by Side this year, but my wife who is 8 months pregnant with our second informed me that it all has to go into savings :(   her and planning ahead like an adult hahaha, O well there is always next year and the year after that and the year after that.

I'm taking a trip to the St Paul Ice Fishing show with my Dad and picking up a Otter Wild Cottage for using as my one man tent.  Looking forward to checking out all the latest gear as well as expanding my ice fishing equipment.

awww, man. i would love to go to the St. Paul show.  maybe next year. :/

i ordered my vex yesterday, along with a spare battery. now i need to take a look at makiplastic and CJ&S to see what i might want from there. CJ&S has a new line of Tungsten jigs i might want to try...

it arrived! last friday
freakin excited to use it! last night we got 5 inches of snow and tonight is calm, clear, and cold. there was already an inch of ice on the rain bucket an hour ago.

I live in East Central Iowa and a pond in my development was locked up for a couple days!!  but... highs in the 50's for this Saturday.   :'(
