I was thinking about trying Ocean Lake this weekend and wondered if anyone has had any luck there lately.

Kind of a tough bite last weekend. Three days and about twenty perch and three walleye and one ling.  All on tipups and minnows. Beautiful weather all three days though  ;D  Good luck if you go.
No jet skiers, no bugs...how can you not like ice fishing??

Went to long point yesterday. The weather was beautiful and i think the fish were on vacation. I fished from 10:00am to 5:30 with out a bite. It sure was nice to get out of the house though.

I don't know how Ocean has been lately, but it should be picking up here shortly.  What kind of fish are you looking for?  Should be able to pick up some perch anytime.

Water has to get a tad warmer...thought that would be this week, but all I've been able to do is shovel snow, not get out to check ...and it's not warming up all that much. Don  ::)

Fished yesterday from 8am till 7:30 pm.
9 nice perch, 1 walleye (20")
27" of clear black ice, good shore also.

Lost a hawg after sundown right at the hole, I felt like puking.

When i was fishing it over winter break it was pretty clear. You could see down 4-5 ft for sure.

I think the deepest I've seen is 26 ft to the east and north of the point.

Definately lots of crayfish in there. Trap nets during my volunteer work would have 100+ per net
