Looking to upgrade my Greenworks chainsaw battery to a 5ah.
Anyone have any history w/ powerworks batteries ?

Greenworks owns Powerworks is all I can tell ya.......for what that's worth.
-
Wondering why they would price their batteries 2/3 cheaper than greenworks

Whoopsies! I meant Greenworks owns Powerworks..... Sorry about that! I corrected my post to reflect that.
From Tools magazine...
Powerworks Tools
Powerworks Tools are owned by Greenworks, who have rapidly become well established in the gardening sector for their lithium ion battery powered tools. Using the same battery technology as employed by Greenworks, Powerworks Tools are designed to provide a clean, convenient and supremely easy to use alternative to petrol or corded electric power tools. Offering the same cordless mobility as petrol tools, Powerworks Tools are much easier to use - they just need their batteries to be recharged after use, and you're ready to go next time. You don't need to worry about buying, transporting, mixing and safely storing fuel, and you have much less maintenance to worry about too.

With a very tiny modification you can use strikemaster 40v batteries in greenworks tools. I use one in my polesaw!
