Title: November ice fishing
Post by: FreshwaterPhil on Nov 29, 2018, 08:59 AM
Got out on ice in November for the first time ever. Multiple lines and frozen baitfish still prohibited, but managed to jig up some perch and a small fallfish so far.

Blog post is up at: http://freshwater-phil.blogspot.com/2018/11/fall-2018-ice-fishing.html (http://freshwater-phil.blogspot.com/2018/11/fall-2018-ice-fishing.html)

Hi Phil, do all the lakes are closed for winter in that area. Where I can know about accurate knowledge about laurentian lakes. Thanks

The Laurentians are sort of split over 3 zones.
Zone 9 = lower Laurnentians - Most lakes closed on Dec 1 until end of April, few exceptions
Zone 10 = Upper/Western Laurnentians - Zone is open, but large amount of lakes closed to ice fishing, mostly the ones containing trout species.
Zone 11 = Upper/Eastern Laurnentians - Most lakes closed on Dec 1 until end of April, few exceptions

For detailed regulations, closures, catch limits, zone maps, etc, check the govt site at:
