I just picked up what I thought was a complete jiffy model 30 for 50 bucks. Turns out the auger bit that came with it is clockwise rotation (not sure what model it's from). What business in the interior carry the replacement ice drills?
Thanks everyone

You might be able to order it through cabelas or bass pro. I'm not sure there is anyone in the interior that carrys jiffy parts. Keep an eye on Craigslist and Alaska list you might be able to score another deal. I do know they are not cheap brand new. Either way it sounds like you got a pretty good deal.

I'm hoping to find one with a blown engine and recoup the cost by selling parts. If anyone sees one for sale locally, please let me know

It might be worth your time to call matsu small engine repair. Not guaranteeing anything but they have things that surprise me from time to time.

Yeah, Jiffy's are the only augers that turn backwards!!! ::)
