I usually have about 30 Heritage lakers in my box every trip out.  I can fish 5 per person here.  Then with my two boys thats 10 more,  then it leaves me room to bring a couple friends.

5 tip ups automatic fisherman 5 jigging pols. My hook up rate is almost 100% of the time. Now we are aloud to jig with 3 poles but you only have 2 hands.
Life's to short live it as if you don't have tomarrow.

Fellow Michigan fisherman remember you have to have your name on every tip up. Last year at tip up town I got "popped" for this. Had 3 kids and wife with me so I sat  10 tip ups and we had  1 jig pole each. Swamp detective checked us and I never thought about all my tip ups had MY name on them. My youngest son has same name as me so they got me for 6 lines too many in water. Ended up costing me $200 when all was said and done. Pretty sleazy of em.   Steve
.
you lost all around on this one.     michigan law say the owners name must be on the tip-up or similar device.     if you are the owner and your wife, kids, neighbors or whoever are using your tip-ups, so what.  the fishcop won.

this topic was touched on in another forum...in the 2009 michigan fishing guide it was stated tipups must show the ANGLERS name and address...it has since been changed to show the OWNERS name and address.

I fish in Minnesota and Wisconsin.. MN you cand have 2 lines, WI you may use 3. I have a St. Croix rod bag that holds 6 Beaver Dams and a Jigging rod. I always take my bag and my Otter rod case with when I hit the ice.
