Shot a short video clip of how I safely ice fish early in the season. I realize most of you on here are veterans, this clip is more intended towards people new to ice fishing.

Good post!  But......put a thong on that spud, and around yer wrist! Lake bottoms are littered with spuds!

Hadn't thought of it, probably because I won't go on the ice when it goes through. Saved my skin a number of times.
Funny how my most important piece of fishing gear only gets used 2-3 weeks per year.

When ya do hit a weird spot, that sucker'll go thru yer hand like a rocket into Davy Jones locker.
Don't ask how I know.

LOL. Only obese ice fishing buddy I had was afraid to go on less than 10 inches. Wonder why...

What a sissy, just gotta have those easy feet on the thin stuff.  I got myself out onto this the other day and I'm about 260 



Just don't fall down on less than about 3.5" of clear... not that I'd know from personal experience or anything
