Menno was a good bluegill lake. a lot of 9-10" gills were pulled from there this summer though. Selective harvest not in the vocab of very many people fishing that lake.

Like others have said, Enemy Swim would be worth the drive. The quality and quantity is very good and there aren't many lakes that compare to it in SESD.

Enemy Swim is by far the best option if you want size, but you've gotta travel from where you are. In the SE, Lake Menno would be your best bet.

How in the heck does a lake get a name like Enemy Swim?

I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.

It got its name from the Sioux Indians

If you like that you should like our other lakes Punished Woman, Dry, Bitter, and Stink.
