Great way to start the morning.

Beauty day so far, dragging through the snow and slush is a little rough but not enough ice for the wheeler where I'm at yet, despite the tracks I'm walking on... wonder if dude bothered to check and see hes riding on 3 black and 2 white... Now to fill the pail with crappie for dinner...

Good luck out there but be careful. I fished local yesterday with Bamb308. I drilled a hole that had 9" of ice. Took 40 paces and drilled another hole that had 6" of ice. There was a lot of variation in the ice thickness that I saw in a small area anywhere from 5"-9".

Thanks guys, ice is sketchy but it'll do... no crappie yet but the Larry's are cooperating, heck of a fight on ultra lite and 3 pound test...

Started pouring around noon and bailed out, crappie weren't interested in what I was offering but the bass were happy to oblige... a few decent ones...




Jezzabelle was having no part of the slush and rain...

Nice photo stealth!

The ice is all whacked right now. I was on a 2 trap lake with 5” of good ice. Punched a long line of holes along shore for rainbows, and one spot was maybe 1.5”.

I saw the same thing yesterday I lost 3" of ice in 40 paces. No way I would have an ATV or sled out there right now and I am afraid it is going to get worse before it gets better.
