Weedy edges, lilly pads and cattails thrown in for good measure, some shallow flats , some edges falling in depth to the low twenties and a couple of holes to the low thirties. Where do you start? What do you use?

First ice usually will find gills shallow in the green weeds. If there is any kind of creek channel with weeds, that would be a good place to start. If not I'd start on the deep edge of weedy flat and start moving shallow? Use any type of marmooska with maggie or bee moth. Rat Finkee or some type of light ice jig on spring bobber as a second rod should be enough to let you know if gills are around. Good luck. Paul
