I do all the time, but just from sellers with good reputations.
I love my job, it pays for my bait.

I regularly buy and sell on ebay.  I try to deal only with reputable, good feedback sellers, but as far as a big ticket purchase, make sure you are covered by ebays protection policies as far as requiring signatures and insurance on items.  I have had over 200 successful ebay transactions in more than 10 years and cant remember a bad one.

I use ebay for everything. Bought my Fish-TV on there last year for $65 refurbished it is still going strong and I figure I have already got my moneys worth out of it if it quit today. Have bought some sweet jigs on there also. Some stuff is cheaper here in town if you figure in the shipping, you just gotta know what you are buying.

I have been using Ebay for a while, its a serious problem! its worse than hard drugs and gambling mixed. Im losing money and friends at an alarming rate! On the bright side, I do have much more useless odds and ends laying around! LED lights for my ice fishing box!?!? Ill take three!

Diertae,

You just violated section three, rule 7a of the ebayers secret creed.  NEVER admit you have a problem!!!

Sacrifice one set of lights and 36 rods to the player to your right.

I peruse Ebay quite often. Had been looking for Currents Noodle rods for quite some time, and finally found some on Ebay. Bought 6 of them. Haven't been burned yet, but like others, I only buy from someone with excellent feedback.

1 - 30 inch moderately heavy ice rod with plastic rings to hold reel,
1 - 30 inch medium ice rods with plastic rings to hold reel,
3 - 30 inch light ice rod with plastic rings to hold reel
5 - 25 inch  light ice rods with plastic rings to hold reel

I BUY A LOT OF OUTDOOR EQUIP ON EBAY.  SELL SOME STUFF TOO.  HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH EBAY, BUT WITH SOME OF THE OTHER LESSER KNOWN AUCTION SITES YOU'D BETTER BE CAREFUL!!  ONLY PROBLEM WITH EBAY AND PAYAL IS THERE FEES ARE GETTING RIDICULOUS FOR SELLERS.  EBAY CHARGES 9% FOR COMPLETED SALES AND PAYPAL THEN GETS YOU AGAIN WHEN YOUR BUYER MAKES HIS PAYMENT, SO YOU CAN COUNT ON "GIVING" EBAY AND PAYPAL ABOUT 15% OF ANY SALE!  I USE CRAIGSLIST MORE NOW AND YOU GET TO DEAL WITH LOCAL FOLKS ANYWAY.  GOOD FISHIN' - OH
