I think Good Friday was my last day of ice fishing for the season. I was out on Noyes pond from about 10-4 and caught about 10 pickerel and one perch. One pickerel was decent size but the rest were dinks. All in all it was a great season. I fished from the last weekend in December to the first Friday in April. I got my PB pike at 13.75lbs (in MA) and had some other great outings. I'd say I hit the ice approximately 30+ times as well. I got to fish in some new spots, from Brewster to Champlain.
If anyone is headed to higher elevations there still should be some ice but be careful. The edges are going quick.
Time to break out the fly rod, kayak and spinning gear. I'll see most you on the finder (my name is westernmasshole on the sister site).
