With all the precipitation we're getting should have better conditions this year for sure. The dredge only increases that probability.... Perch can find there way in this year...

IF this holds true http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/Sandy+Creek+NY+13145:4:US and this holds true, http://lakeice.squarespace.com/ice-growth/ , is there a chance there would be safe ice on Sunday? I'm praying to the fish gods.

The other chart that can add to your optimism (I'm not smart enough to put the URL on here) is the one that shows you can add 3" to skim ice fast if you just have a couple snowless 10F nights which you just might get???  Keep the faith!!!   Cya...

In my own opinion the pond walleye numbers are on the rebound but its no Oneida I like to encourage catch and release on pond walleye so the population can come back I saw some real monsters in my spring crappie spot this year

I and a few others have been preaching toss the 20" and better back on oneida for a few years now and I'm seeing a lot of bigger fish being caught these days

Well after a totally dismal hunting season, early ice would be a plus before i head out to afghanistan for six months in feb....please let there be early ice!  Were they able to dredge does anyone one know?

If you're on facebook, send a friend request to sandypond sportsmans association.  They give updates on Sandy Pond and the channel and dredging.  I'm pretty sure that I read something about them successfully dredging the channel.

Yup,
Cuse you can sit on a pail with me once in awhile ,but it seems you keep finding them good looking women  to sit in the shanty with you all day. Now I don't fault you for that,  especially if they can catch fish. Judging by all the screaming and noise that goes on when you zip the flapper closed on your shanty, you must be catching lots of fish. That is the only reason I can imagine all that noise and commotion. I just want to know how an ugly guy like you can attract such good lookin gals. I guess you do the same thing I used to do. You find good lookin women with bad eye sight eh? Whatever works for you keep it up. Things are looking good for an early entry to the ice . the water temps are falling fast too. The 17th of December was my earliest trip out on the pond. We got a little warming spell for the next week but looks like another cold front will keep the night temps down.  I am looking for low temps and light snow fall. Hope to see you soon cuse. I will sit on a pail the first day out so don't bring the girlfriend. Don't want too many people sitting too close on thin ice. haha
 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D;D

Buckets and no ladies wow we are really roughing it. Boggey my secret is keeping them "medicated" until I get sick of them:).

I don't care if we have to drive to Canada, we will get you on the ice before you go bud. I promise. I got the 4 wheeler fixed and it is dependable so no pushing and pulling. We just need ice. When are you shipping out Tommy? Maybe we can scrape a steak or two out of Eddy, he has been a real deer slayer this year.

Heading out mid to late feb. wont be back till august. Cant wait to hit the ice!!
