I was out on GP yesterday I fished from sunrise to sunset the bite was VERY slow only got 7 keepers all day and one pike on my jigging pole. Ice was around 6 inched both spots I tried. I could only try to spots because it was extremely windy. I saw a guy get out of his one man clam and it went flying across the bay it was funny towatch but I felt bad for him. We had to keep one guy in my clam yukon at all times because of the wind. Just figured I would post someresults. It didn't matter to me though what I caught it was my first time out this year just great tofinally be out.
I believe that would be ME . Glad you enjoyed the show. When I first saw it start I figured that gust would let up and it would stop....I WAS WRONG It kept going....and going. Caught up to it once and the drag rope tripped me....had to stop and check that rough ice it went over before I went accross that, then finnaly dove and grabbed the rope. When I got back.....the pike was still on the tip up I got up to get. Only keeper of the night. That wind was CRAZY. Bought some ice anchors on the way home that night
pondskipper if youre asking how many fingers they have you must be lost thats not sandy pond youre fishing thats onondaga lake . you need to head further north
so i just seen nxt weeks weather and it dnt look to good. itll b like 35 40 all week. where the hell is our winter
any wheelers on pond ? have a 2 hr drive and won't bring if can't use. thanks and good fishing. just found this site its great hope we can kept it. been coming to the pond for 30 yrs great place.
my post didn't post ! i went shallow for some pig knuckle gills ...did 50 (Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.) filling the bucket
I saw 3 sleds and 2 wheelers, Can't speak for anything other than what I saw. Out of Elms was black ice with snow patches. I never drilled my first hole till I was in the center of the pond. 5 inches of black ice. It was a beautiful day to be an ice fisherman. . Slow bite, but not the usual onslaught of dinks. brought home 18. 6 were slobs. Cuse and Matt cleaned my clock. Good thing the tournament was not today. The Honey hole was not as good as last year. May have to move around tomorrow. Got to clean my fish. I am confident we have enough ice to weather Mondays warm up. as long as the nights stay cold, everything should hold.
fishing wasn't that great today saw very few on camera . 6 inches of black ice every where we drilled . saw quads and sled driving all over ice
we ended up with 37 keepers. four were slobs. Seemed like bite heated up when sun was out. Not to many people where we were. Had a Cat sled and old doo near us and they seemed to have no problems. we had 4.5-5 inches of ice.
