prob a dumb question but is it safe enough to take my new shanty out this weekend. its a 3 man clam. and whetes the best spot to go where the bite is decent

Water is cloudy fish aren't biting it was horrible there today.
Ice is mostly safe found a few spots with only 2" infront of wig wam 100 yds off shore.

safe is in the eyes of the beholder... stay inside of the pack ice and in there I never found anything less than 5".

I had everything with me today YUKON, GAS AUGER, HEATER, GRILL, 12Pack, you name it the only thing I didn't bring was the snowmobile...
