Rain this evening...then snow showers and rain. Snow showers late. Areas of blowing snow. Accumulation 2 to 4 inches. Strong winds with lows 15 to 20. South winds 10 to 20 mph...becoming west and increasing to 35 to 50 mph...then diminishing to 30 to 40 mph late. Gusts up to 60 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent. Current temp 42.5

This sounds like a recipe for an inch of frozen slush, 2 inches slush and water, then 2  inches ice with 34 to 35 degree water under it..  I am 1250 miles from SP but were I there I would be inside looking out.... Give her a week and see..

Built this rack tonight for my fish trap pro want to mount it to the skis. Issue I've ran into is if I bolt it to the skis its in the way of my feet when sitting so I've been pondering on how to built a quick disconnect for the rack so I can easily attach it and remove it from the skis any ideas?

Heavy winds here at the shop. Staying the night in my office chair I guess. Winds sound like they're trying to blow the siding off my building.

i put a flat level rack on skis, approximately 4 x 4 that was elevated approx 3 in. thus i had a nice place to put my clam 2000 onto . I then put ring screws down each side. Then i just take straps two across and two lengthwise to hold the shanty on the rack. I then just put all my other gear on top of the shanty, auger, heater, couple buckets, etc. and use more straps to hold them on. Works great and glides thru the snow. Hope this helps.

Could you put two eye bolts one on each sides of the tub towards the upper lip. You would have to drill two holes through the top of the tub. Let you bracket just set on the skis then use a rachets strap to go from one side of tub where your eye bolt is, around your bracket to the other eyebolt. Then you can tighten it to your tub with the ratchet strap.

There is 3 to 7 inches of ice depending where you drill. You can Park at the Wig Wam resturant for 5 bucks.
