Wow am I glad to hear there is 5 to 6 inches on Green point I just got a clam yukon for me and my 12 year old son who is now an ice fishing addict at bass pro saturday and I was planning on checking it out thursday.  Thanks guys for posting that it just made my day!!!! ;D ;D ;D.  Last year around this time I had already been out at least 6 times by now I just hope mother nature doesn't take a crap on us again so the ice will stay this time.  I am a little worried about tomorrow though with the high wind and rain they are calling for, do you guys think it will ruin the ice?

Was the first one out on the pond today off wigwam...caught some 8-9 perch with spikes and fatheads...kinda slow. When the southeast wind hit hard around 9:30 am the bite practically stopped. 3.5 inches of black ice....yippeee. Fished 8-12 water
When I go fishing I like to know that there's nobody within five miles of me.

Thanks Clam! The other thread is kinda long and convoluted. I get up that way a few times every season and love fishing there. I park at the golf course and fish south from there. So, I'm thinking you must have good ice there now. Is the whole pond covered with safe ice? If it is maybe I'll make a run up there this week.

Also wondering about the ice on the pond after the sub-zero temps this past weekend?? Hopefully the wind they are calling for tomorrow won't tear anything up......!

I just heard from a buddy who was out on SP today.  He said there is around 3 to 5 inches of solid ice off the old Wigwam.  Bite was good and he returned with quite a few perch.

Just got off the pond. Fished greens point. 5 to 6'' good inches. Got some nice perch and gills. The fishing was wierd though. The dinks were hot and heavy. Good luck everyone.
