After we limit out. We will tell everyone we were fishing the atlantic ocean where they have 8" of black ice and we pulled a white shark out of a 6" whole. Can't wait buddy. Hopefully it stop snowing tonight so I can go.

Boggey well now they're calling for 5-9" today & another 5-9 tonite.  However if we're going to get it now's the time.  Temp at 4am this morn here was 38 & POURING rain.  Just turned over to snow however, we got an inch in the last 30 mins.   What's left of that ice won't hold any snow, it'll sink, all turn to slush.
By tomm. morning there will be 3-4" of slush on the pond.  Temps Sat. in the teens, that slush will freeze Sat & Sat nite.  By Sunday morning there will be frozen crap, however the silver lining is since it'll sink, mix with water, & then re-freeze There won't be much insulating it, so with temps in the low teens on Sunday & near Zero Sunday night it should be back to making good ice.  So again beginning to middle of next week should start to be ok.  If of course the little skim crap layer that was there survived the rain last night & survives the high winds.
To be positive although the warm temps & rain stinks, if we had 3-4"'s of ice going into this storm that would've been 10times worse.  That much ice would've held the snow, then a foot of slush would've sat on top insulated the ice from this deep freeze & not only wouldn't have made any this weekend, it would take much longer to become safe.

  I hope that pond opened up, if it didn't your doomed.  It's a mess out there.  mud, slop, yellow slush and wet snow everywhere on my yard.  creeks are ripping, what a nightmare....

theres prob an inch of ice on the pond. it is unfishable.  im sure by nxt week with this cold weather there oughta b some decent ice. hopefully nxt weekend il b out pounding some perch , walleye and a few pike. however i did c a video on youtube and this guy pulled a nice stealhead outta the pond

My worst fear  :'(  Like snagger said, hopefully that rain killed some of the ice, not sure what this heavy wet snow and slush is going to do....and just before 2-3 dyas of colds dayys and nights  >:(  might have to head north on Sunday....

I hope there was'nt much ice on the pond. I would'nt think there would be after the warm ups and all the rain, Who knows maybe she open up and the snow is falling on the water. that would be the best bet. If she still had ice on there who knows what it will do

Hey Iceboy any ice on the pond. I can't read the 45 posts about the ice conditions and would really love if you can give me a hour by hour update on it. Any yet, how bout now!!  Good luck this weekend buddy!

im going to do that again in march this year. that fish tasted like poop  :sick: but it sure did look good and it took like 18 min. to land that thing on 2# test :) ;D

Ht, these tip downs better be everything I expected! After listening to roy, Tommy and dean brag about them here at pcs I gave in!  Dean brought one in for me to see and I fell in love at first sight!  Needless to say, I've got 150 dollars worth of tip downs arriving at my door step Tuesday!!  The route cause is you, according to my sources!!  Hahahahahaha
