Pondskipper:
Just want send out a big thank you to you (and others) for the updates on the pond status!!!! I have been working a ton and dont have the time or gas to drive myself to check out ice conditions on various body's of water. I know some people like to keep ice to themselves but its good to see someone helping out other fisherman. Once again thank you to you and others for the great information.

WOW Snagger......that pic really sucks :P :( :P :-\   I may have to take a trip all the way up to Eel bay Fri to find ice. Never been there before but may have to give it a shot by the looks of your pic.

Thats the good ol' nine mile nuke plant...took a few pics of the lake today from the other side of that one over by rudy's...breaks my heart knowing that the pond was going to be rolling 3fters with this wind....got all my gear organized today, got the pieces to build a Smitty sled, just need some ice....I WILL fish somewhere this Sunday, even if it means driving 3hrs north  :'(
Why work when you can fish?<br />

I am so frustrated. I have been waiting for ice since june! I cannot believe that pic of the pond. I am torn. I just want to get out there and do some ice fishing for cryin out loud! What are your guys predictions on when the pond will have safe ice? I see its gonna be real cold tomorrow but i also am seeing upper 30s for highs coming up with lows in the mid 20s by toward the end of the week. I just am starting to get MAD
It'll eat.

I think it will be soon. The high temps coming up dont look that bad. Its going to be below freezing every night. Its looking like very soon. It doesnt take long to get the pond to lock up our worst enemy is going to be the wind.
