2/16/2018

Warm, overcast day, low clouds kinda day. Really still in the morning, then rain for a while.

Ride out to the house was uneventful. No problems. Snow is starting to get reduced and didn't seem to have too much water underneath. You could travel with a snowmobile no problem but an ATV wouldn't have too many problems either (a little slower going)

Started the morning off fishing in the house, managed to catch one laker. Saved on propane, left the door open most of the morning except during the rain. In the afternoon i took a ride and fished outside. After talking to CH on the phone, she's been wanting to go back to her Hump, we called it CH's Hump, where she caught 10 lakers in one day. She's been saying we need to go there but We haven't been able to fish there in the last 3-4 or so years due to ice conditions....So today i decided to do . She was right all along, I ended up with 8 lakers and missed quite a few more, 2 were right at the hole.

Late afternoon it got windy until i left around 7:30pm, cusk fish for a bit but got nothing.

No skunk today! Very slow however...caught one laker on a tip up.
Not sure about this place we bumped to in 42 FOW.
Not many lakers on camera and when one does cruise through it's pretty small...maybe another bump in our near future...

Productive day today with 3 lakers and a nice rainbow. Meat&metal caught the rainbow and then was buzzed by a low flying drone.

2/17/2018

Got up early but still didn't make it to the lake before 6 am. Had a slow morning from a late night.

Again as soon as i put on the fish finder, marking lakers 2 - 4 at a time. I managed to get 5 lakers to take the board away from Laker Taker before CH got out. Tippin eventually caught up to 5 and it was a triple tie. I think Tippin closed out the day with 7 or 8 his PB (Congrats Tippin!) and Laker Taker caught up to him 8 or 9. I was only able to get another putting me up to 6 for the day, on my way to 70 for the season. CH got one and missed a few, no camera too deep.

Glad CH came out when she did cause i was using dead bait and had to retrieve one from a lakers mouth (normally i let them keep the bait) and reuse it, which caught me another laker.

Weather was unbelievable this morning. Sunny No wind and Cool, great day to get some Vitamin D. Flew the drone for a bit...

Great to hear Guinea's voice out there today.

Nice bow! Was it a dark colored one or just a bad picture?

Congrats on all the fish everyone caught today ! Like everyone it was really slow in morning...got a couple but had to really work for em. Started cooking lunch and then it all turned on..was in a fish off with lakertaker and Jiggin for awhile I think we were tied at 5 at one point...what a blast !

A black male lost a similar one at the same hole earlier. Caught it on a CH JawJacker.

Probably was just as well I would have had to sleep in my truck.

Snowed out last night. Around 3-4" of powdery white stuff. Blazed a trail to the house across the lake. Holes didn't skim over much overnight, easy setting up this morning. Another day of saving propane. No wind in the morning till later then it picked up 20mph, blowing the snow down the lake.

Morning bite started out slow but then got steady. Marked fish on the fish finder all day.

Im really starting to like CH's hump, her lovey lady humps

CH didn't come out today, she had some chores to take care of and wanted to give me some time to increase my numbers. She's pushing me to hit 100 lakers for this season. I managed to pull up 9 lakers today bringing my total past 70 for the season now. Had a quick celebration when i hit my 69th laker but that was short lived as # 70 came pretty quickly after.

Owned the board all day. No competition amongst the Circus like yesterday unfortunately.
