heads or grubs???

whats the best bait for hali jigs, minnow heads or grubs

I use grubs and they seem to work great.  Only tried minnows once and they worked but not as much as the grubs did.  I tip mine with Berkley gulp grubs that I found at Dick's they work great and stay on for many fish and have also had a lot Of success on regular maggots like spikes or waxworms.

I used spikes this week and it's was the best success I've had all year! The perch just whaled on it!

went with the grubs, and the berkley maggots and we pounded them all day.   not to many giants but we got a few nice ones.

For most trout and panfish I use maggots, waxies, mealies, or crawlers. For lake trout I use cut anchovies or suckers, and walleyes I use a small minnow head.

I like a hali jig with mousies. I hammered them today just before
the storm hit. Kept 44 and could of had twice that many. I have
had fanstic luck with the hali this winter.

I like 2-3 maggots; and I'll sometimes add some crappie/panfish attractant if the bite is slow. Seems to work on all panfish in our area.

 Grubs, although i've seen fish heads work better on a hali than grubs.

It depends on the day.
I usually go with spikes, but have been experimenting with smelt heads this year.
I only resort to Gulp! when I have nothing else...

I use small buckeye's and my son uses mousies.  Once we can determine which is working better, the other switches.

   Without question the grubs work well on those hali's. They've gotta be moving though. Perch eyes work well also, especially on the larger fish.
