Red hooks for trout?

I've been hearing good things about red hooks. Anyone have luck using them for trout?

I used to use red #8 gamakatsu octopus hooks for trout,I did see a slight increase in flags
I switched back to a regular old fashioned #12 eagle claw trebel hook, and I land a lot more fish. I do add a red bead ( this helps!)

red hooks? lets just saw, "red is good" I think that red hooks work well with all the different fishies.

I smoked my buddy the other day, he was using red hooks, I was using normal bronze hooks...I caught 5 salmon 17"-18 1/2"...he caught one 12"

Same bait, same depths...maybe it was a fluke...maybe not

You just were in the right spot,  it doesn't matter the color or size of bait, but if your not located just right, and 5 feet sometimes can make a differents, then your not going to catch then.

I've had good luck with red rooks and I've had just as good luck with black hooks.  I haven't begun a statistical analysis for the year, but I may.
