Someone took a swim today
« on: Dec 17, 2018, 07:38 PM »
Heard on my scanner that someone fell through the ice on
Bear Pond in Waterford today.  Airboat was in route , but luckily wasn't needed. Lucky for the guy someone was there to help him get out of the water.  From what I understand, he was about 300ft from shore.

Use caution my friends....

With all the rain we had lakes were high but  after they froze the water table has been dropping creating air pockets under ice near shore .also spring holes have a lot of flow making dangerous thin spots. Now with snow cover its hard to see where these places are . No one should go on unfamiliar water alone.
