I usually start prepping in August starting with a top-off charge for my flasher. I’ll take the last seasons line and jigs of my rods and start from fresh. Around this time I’ll get my pop-up out and set it up in the living room to inspect it before the season really kicks off. This is also usually the time I start making new purchases for the season although, other than live bait and a bigger M18 battery, I don’t need much this season.

I’ve been highly considering adding some LED strip lights to my pop-up and building an ammo can battery box for said LED’s, phone chargers, and whatnot. The jury is still out on that one though.

I'm new to ICESHANTY and wanted to know where to catch minnows for tip-ups.
Because everytime I go to my local bait/tackle shop they are not cheap.
I have a minnow trap and know how to use it.
Where can minnows be caught in northern new jersey?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Ohh I been counting hours not days.

Based on what I am seeing we should be able to get on some hard water by Christmas again.

December 16th was for me last year so, hoping to repeat that.

And of course I am still waiting for Chris to eat his damn hat from last year.

I haven't started prepping yet. Not much to do to get ready for the up coming season. I plan on doing so real soon. Hope to be on the ice by mid January if not sooner.

Ammo can is awesome! I built one for this year and wished I would have made one 5 years ago!

Got the sled and flip over out. Ran the Nils for 5 minutes with fresh fuel.

When the rain started I got the flasher and camera out and charged the batteries.

Come on ice !
