making line brand new

after using your tip up line year after year , spool all the line off each tipup and respool it backward, it will be like you have brand new line on each spool.    good fishing

Good idea.  Won't that make your lure hang backwards though....... ;D

This works on reels with braid too. Don't bother with mono.
