Ok turkey day-done, bday-done, Billy Joel concert-done is it fishin time yet? HELL YES!!! this has been a long week. I'll tell you I'm more of a rockin roll kind of guy but that Billy can put on a show. 2.5hrs playtime at 68 years old. Won some tickets off of XM radio and they put us in a suite. Good times, dinner and drinks included. See some of you tomorrow or Friday

We didn't start the fire, it was always turning since the trips been brewing.  You may be right, this trip might be crazy, but we've been waiting for the longest time!  Anyway, I like ya'll just the way you are, and with any luck there will be some uptown girls to show us what the hell were doing out there.

Very impressed with it so far. I will try it out on a 10 inch Nils  sometime this trip. I thought it was overkill for such a small auger and that maybe I should just use my drill, but I do like having the two handles and if you angle right you can keep the battery off the ice. Please don’t tell my English teacher how long my last sentence was. LOL

Thats a good one slap, so we've got 4in in the marina you can't see on the cam and 5-6in on the main lake outside the breaker walls. Only Prob is the pressure ridge between the 2. We should have it figured out tomorrow on how well get wheelers on the main lake no Prob. If and when it gets to 7-8in by Saturday fo.r sure. State park grew an inch last night. Caught over a dozen in the marina tonight nothing over 23in but beautiful fish. Be safe see everyone tonight or tomorrow

Thanks everyone, I had a blast as well... Sorry I had to take off early, but didn't want to put too much pressure on you guys for catching a bigger fish... ;)   Quite lucky I didn't get skunked actually... had fun, my fish were all about the same size 20.5 to 21.5"....  Didn't know I was going to a trade show with all the newest coolest gadgets for ice fishing, you guys really have some neat equipment, it was a pleasure to learn from ya'll... Now I'm in trouble for wanting more new toys... Be safe on your way home today... Later J

Hey Guys,

It was a blast smokin' & jokin' with all y'all.  And I met a bunch of new folks whose names shall be lost forever due to that old age disease called CRS.   ;D

The really sad part of the trip was the dozens of fish I didn't catch.  My grand total for three days looking was one (1).  Just about everybody there did better than I did.  I have better hopes for the rest of the season.

Ok finally time for some pics and a little story, so for the 1st time going fishing here we had a great view of the Tetons on our way up. I have seen them before from the other side but what a spectacular view to see again

We arrived at the Rose and had a great 4 days there. The Wild Rose has always treated us good for the last few years. This year we went big and rented the biggest room they had, it had 11 beds, 3 bathroom, full kitchen & living rom. Here's a few shots of the room and some of the happenings that took place. Of course we played some poker and a few of us layed around watching football sunday while it was a blizzard outside

We had some good days and bad on this trip, they got worse as we stayed there but was treated to a good drive home on Monday. The 1st day started out great for me. I pulled in 5 fish. Nothing bigger than 21in. Here's some scenery 1st, then the fish porn

Now for the fishy's, these are in no paticular order. Only 3 rods were lost in the making of this. LOL.. I'm working on getting a good one of the $$$ winner, it was 27in. 9lbs.

I caught this fish on the 2nd day and it was swimming right hand circles like no other. Don't think its whirling disease but im no biologist

Now on the 2nd day we had a couple people hit some soft spots on the edge and test out the floatation on their bikes. Both machines were successfully retrieved with the help of the great crew we were fishing with. In fact one guy tried out his float suit in the process of retrieval

Now for what I think was the best pic of comraderie between fellow ice heads and possibly a new way to spend a day on the ice by upping the competion. You can have 5 rods, so why not!! This is what I'm calling the "2 pole 1 one hole bet, Jacker style" No rules, just see who has the better jig/bait for what the fish are wanting in one hole and while your at it have a nice little arm wresting tournament too

Once again I would like to thank everyone that came up and had another GREAT year at Henry's. Looking forward to year 5 already, Oh and I forgot to mention we may just have to turn this into a gear swap/trade/giveaway/fishing trip with all the stuff that went on. Thanks for the speaker Joe that thing works great. Thanks Glen for the salts and mud paste. The wife and I are trying it out. Definately takes some getting used to. Now lets see some pics I didnt get!!!!!

I'll have 5 jackers/snappers next year for sure because as usual im taking pics BS'ing a bit. We had things a bit more spread out until it got nasty then you had to have them close. Especially the dead sticks. Some of those fish were no joke, one bite and the pole was gone down the hole. 3 poles sacrificed on this trip

I guess it is my turn.

Headed up Tuesday and Wednesday just to make sure that the guys remained excited for the trip. I really enjoy sending pictures of nice fish to guys that are still on the clock. ;D
Thursday morning it was my pleasure to fish next to Mr. Geezer and a new friend Glen (Mr. BFT)
Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, the boys rolled in and it was game on!

Mr. Buddy breakfast.
Friday evening brought more adventure still!

Saturday morning my niece Afton drove up with breakfast in tow. She had a great morning landing six fish!

Sunday brought more fun in a big way!

For a guy who Doesn't drink, I sure had a hangover all week!

Geezer and Skyler set me up big league.

The road home keeps on getting longer.
This was probably my favorite Henry's trip yet. Every day turned into it's own epic adventure for sure. I especially enjoyed conversing with and getting to know each of you a little better. You guys mean a lot to me and I appreciate our friendship very much.

Known as lordosis which an upward curvature of the spine vs. scoliosis which is a lateral curvature of the spine.

Can have several causes: parasite damage to the spine or physical damage to the spine early in life, nutritional deficiency, or bad recessive genes that manifest themselves due to inbreeding.

I have seen this in a few of the yellow perch I hatch and raise and we don't have whirling disease here.  Nor does whirling disease affect yellow perch that I know of.
I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.
