I thought I'd post a view from one of my hunting areas. Only 45 minutes from the back door :)

Elk is my focus right now. Already got a whitetail this year so there's meat in the freezer at least.

I'm guessing near Banff, Alberta, Canada.Thought I'd include a fish pic as well ! It is 108lbs caught on a hand line !

I lucked out with that one. I was alone & I think the boat was going up on a swell when it took. So it came straight up till by the boat. Landing these fish can be a rush ! But I was again lucky that everything I did went like clock work. After catching it I went into the new Sandspit harbor , as it was just being finished up & I worked with the guys, to brag ! (BTW, I placed all the big over size rocks on that harbor, with an older 400 Hitachi excavator)

nice halibut.....mmmmm...fi sh and chips....mmmmmm.....ch anging to subject back to the original post....there's only one place in canada with that view....Canmore and Banff.....Grump

My picture is of the Rocky Mountains East of Banff, Alberta. Some of Gods best work I'd say!
Well I was out this weekend and whaaahooo I got my elk! 345lbs hangin' at the butcher. Now I have some viddles to cook up on the ice! Cold weather forecast this week so we may be on the ice in a week or two. Life is good! Please feel free to send donations to cover butchers bill ;D

AARRGHH! U Canadiens! First you kill us by cancelling the Hockey season and then you torture us with your scenery. Just kidding! Will get even with ski trip later in year to BC. In meantime, I will down a couple of Molsens while watching reruns of the Stanley Cup.
