FISHBONES ICESHANTY-CAFE WEEKEND MENU

BREAKFAST: bacon,kielbasa,homefries w/onions,and fried eggs,pancakes(in season),O.J. coffee or "The Bone Warmer".

LUNCH: Chicken Broccoli alfredo,or jambalya,or keilbasa and sasauges w/peppers and onions and sause,all served on precooked pasta,or its"HOT BBQ"

DINNER: GO HOME AND EAT ,THIS AINT NO SOUP KITCHEN

thanks to mom and the fact that i use to be a chef i premake most of this and can or preserve my own sauces,all packed into a soft side cooler and prepared on a 3 burner coleman stove,the guys that become my partners through the years never complain about a 5$ a week to kick in and always appreciate the great meals i have, even had other fellow fisher-people(man,women and children) stop in to have a sample.with the usual comment "What are you some king of chef"
It if always fun and rewarding and the looks on peoples faces when you have a flag and you hand them the spoon and say "watch this stuff for me". MAY YOU ALL NEVER BE HUNGRY ON THE ICE........Fisbones. 8) i guess i posted more than just a snack so when im just looking for something to snack on I always have slim-jims and granola bars

hey fishbones that's one heck of a menu.
I like to take an make a loaded omelet daybefore,and
wrap it in aluminum foil,and freeze. when ready to eat
just heat and eat.
you guys know winnie derby is only once a year,so we make a party of it,good food,good drink and good friends.
about those spikes i hope oldfart had some kecthup for them. let them it fish !!

We begin every day on the ice with the traditional donuts and beer. Then a bag of pretzels to rinse the beers down later in the morning. The lunch menu is endless.

Well it's plain to see. Ice Fisherman on the ice are not a bunch of health nuts! we love junk food.
On my overnight trips I make up burritos for breakfast and dinner loaded with venison, onion's, mushrooms, egg, etc. wrapped in foil to heat up on the heater, don't forget the salsa.

ive got a couple friends that eat their bait they prefer spikes. but have also tried meal worms and once while smelting near ithaca they drove everyone from the hot spot by biting the head off the first smelt with eggs running down their chins they /we had the hot spot to our selves as most people left pukeing a real fun bunch of guys not!

Hey has anyone tried Frito Lays' "Rold Gold " honey wheat braided twists pretzels? I "think" they are fairly new,..at least I've never seen them before this year. I buy them for the office and everyone jumps on them,.probably a step up from most snacks healthwise but I've never brought snacks for my office that so many people like,..(going broke keeping everyone in snacks here!) but they ARE addictive,...

when we go ice fishing, we invite a friend who's a chef. yesterday he cooked up some deer chunks with a sauce made from old grandad and fish heads. served over angel hair pasta, that the wind tipped over, and dumped on a pile of tobacco spit sludge on the ice. this we didn't know, till after inhaling it. the chef walked back to the truck.

cheese doritos and chocolate milk but if its a full day I'll bring the deepfryer and some fillets or maybe a turkey depending on the size of our party
