New line....Help !!

Just got another jig rod...a 13 Wicked Ice....25 inch.....what do you guys recommend for a 6 pound line ? There are so many choices now....I haven’t put Line on a reel in years....Thanks ! Going for crappie to Lakers...

stroft gtm. about half the diameter of other lines.

I would go with 6 lb. fused superline like Fireline with about a 12" fluorocarbon leader on the end.

Strength per line diameter

Stroft GTM 2X 11.2# test .22 mm line

compared to

Pline Floroclear .23 mm 6# line
Berkley Trilene Microice .23 mm 6# line
