My 90 day countdown starts da 25th.
Found a red leaf on da ground this morning & our yearly opener is usually a Houghton Christmas cruise from the "D".
C'MON. SANTA make it thick & solid.

Interesting forecast coming up. Depends on if daytime temps are just barely low enough but nighttime temps look decent in northern Massachusetts. Hopefully wind cooperates some. Elevation spots MIGHT be good after Thanksgiving. Keeping fingers crossed.

Water temps have plummeted in the past week, overnight temps are looking cold. Thanksgiving weekend is my usual 1st ice walk. Its coming boys!

I will fish the ice when it is safe, but still some good fishing to be had in the soft water... The Chu is fishing well and I hope to get a few more walleye from the Conn River before the ice...

I’ll be on the boat rippin lips until I see hardwater.  As much as I love ice fishing I love the open water scene going through the winter.  Most times have the lake to yourself.

The flip over is already setup with all the gear inside, reels all greased and fresh line spooled on the few that needed, jig box and plastics are restocked, even the fish finder is charged and ready, just waiting for ice now ;D

Yup, looked at my sled yesterday when I was sweeping out the garage, the second week of February I should have 2.5in of sketchy ice for a solid 4 days then I can think of getting the boat ready to go back in in May

Or we’ll finally get some safe ice but will get 2’ of snow making it all unfishable slush.
