I already have two propane augers that work just fine, but when I saw that Jiffy had come out with this electric I had to give it a try. I just laid it away with the 10" auger. No sense depleting the cash until we have some ice started. Just saw this morning that my favorite lake was at -4° F this morning though, Oh hell there goes the rent!

Just got a Pflueger monarch reel, likely going to pair it with a widdowmaker rod for a nice perch setup.

I FINALLY added the fourth and final rod to my original series Fenwick Elite Tech Ice collection. A 28" Medium Heavy. I found a "Dealer Demo" rod on ebay and GLADLY paid the $30 plus shipping for it. It has been the "holy grail" of my ice fishing equipment. Been looking for several years now, and finally found it. Now I just gotta find a reel for it.
It's my only goal this year-- land one pike or Laker with that rod.
But for now, which reel...

I'm replacing the center section of the hoops in my big flipover with aluminum adapters and 3/4" OD 1/4" ID lengths of acrylic tube, so I can move the led strip lights inside the roof framework. Figure I will soda blast the acrylic tubes to make them diffusers

My biggest acquisition is a "Smitty Sled" but also picked up one of these. Brother in law who works there got it for me. He said some stores do sell them around the holidays. Going to use this instead of plastic grocery bags to put fish in. Easier to rinse out in sink and fits inside 5 gal. bucket so takes up no more space.

I'm adding more time spent out on the ice and maybe some more stickers on the tote. All else is good.

I added the new jiffy e6 lightening. Bad news is I have no ice around me whatsoever! Need to make a trip north, soon. Always looking to make new fishing buddies.

Second year ice fishing and after having lots of trouble with drilling holes with my auger catching before breaking through, I bought a clam plate and so far so good. Yesterday drilled 40+ holes and had zero trouble.
