Ordered a few Jawjackers last night for my sons...early Christmas gifts. Thinking of pairing them up with 26"L or 28" M UglySticks....not to hijack thread, but you guys using the JJ's, are UglySicks a good choice?

I'm waiting for a decent sale on an LX5 and boots...hopefully Black Friday.  :icefish:

XT900 Cabin, FLX28!

Ready for the ice!

Wanted an 1660 Mag Thermal, but $499 is pretty cocky for what you get IMO

I don't know if it'll happen or not but I might be adding a new fishing partner this year, my four year old daughter providing she wants to go.  I'm not going to force her to go and if she does my number one goal is to make sure she is safe around the holes, she's warm, and has fun.  I know it may or may not happen and if it does it can be a bit nerve racking but my plan is to keep it fun, let her decide when we leave, have plenty of snacks on hand, and make sure she stays warm.  Time will tell if she'll go or not but just in case she decides she wants to go I'm going to have to get some more jigs and a new rod.

I am well into this season already, purchased a new portable toilet seat, a spool of 20# Gorilla Braid, two new hard rod cases,  new lip grabber with digital scale, square mouth shovel, homemade rod holders, pole storage, side shelving & center console for the QuickFlip.

I think I may look to add a Eagle Claw inline, Not sure if I am sold on this item yet.....I would like to feel/try one first.

My list is short this year. Buying a No. 8 Tackle Co. InfraRed combo. I'm also going to snag a couple more Arctic Warriors. I think I'm going to start using those for fishing pike a little more than my tip-ups. Aside from that, just want to add to my jig and Swedish Pimple arsenal and I ought to be set.

accidently posted this on a different thread I was reading.

Well since some jackwagon decided to break in to my garage, I will be shopping for ALL new ice fishing gear.  The only thing he left me was my vex bibs.  Guess he wasn't the same size as me.  He also stole all my archery hunting equipment.  I only sat in the tree one time this year.  Good thing I store my flip over and auger at my in-laws.  The list of tackle, which I know I forgot a lot of, is just under $600.  I know it was probably closer to 800 but there was a lot of stuff I didn't use any more.  What really pisses me off is that he got all my thorne bros rods.  Good thing our we had our home owner's insurance.  Not sure the insurance company likes us anymore since we were only 3 weeks into living at that house and 3 weeks with that ins. company.  I think I'm going to get a few beers before I go to scheels and fill a few carts.

Nothing too fancy but the wife really went hardcore last year fishing with me. New suit for her, two bigger sleds for extra gear and a new set of Indian Hill traps for the wife.  Bought a new propane Jiffy last year so auger is al set and ready.  Bring on the hard water

I am excited to get some real use out of the FL-12 I got at the very tail end of last season and I just got a quickfish 6ti along with a cot and AstroTurf carpet so that I can camp out on the ice.  That will probably be it for this year unless my buddy heater doesn't keep me warm enough to camp out. Then maybe have to buy the big buddy version or a portable woodstove. Oh and I 'm sure I will order some new jigs, new line and maybe a new rod before the season over with. I am really hoping to take an ice fishing road trip but we shall see. I can't wait to get out there! I have been more excited for ice fishing this season than I have been about hunting season and I live to hunt the wilderness so it says a lot about how quickly a small joy of ice fishing can spiral into a complete obsession.

Placed an order for the Eskimo fatfish 949i (insulated) last night. Still a little skeptical about the pop ups, but the reviews seem pretty good now except for the carry bag. Needed something like this to take my grand kids out for a few couple hour trips.....crossing fingers!  ;D

This year I added A 6061 for my jig rod,  Last year I bought some new HT Lakers. I like 5 holes,  4 for tip ups, And 1 for jigging,  I hook more trout jigging. But the tip ups are a hoot when the flags go up.

Adding a 8x12 Ice Shanty. Other then that I don't need a lot, but as usual want a few more items. Looking at the Strikemaster 4 stroke, and a couple more rods.
No place I'd rather be, then on the ice fishing!

Went for the Mother Load this year, thanks to my wife being so big hearted. New Arctic Cat 500, new 6x12 enclosed aluminum trailer, Otter XT1200 cabin with Otter Caddy,Hyfax, tow bar, rod holders & Northern Brite LED lights.

Musta took out a 2nd mortgage! Congrats on all of that sweet stuff. I bought a Striker suit as a closeout from red rock store last spring. Outside of that I have one new rod on order (custom IA rod from Oyler). Everything else is in good working order including my now out-dated picture tube Marcum camera. Still shows fish.
