Electrical engineer by training, but "project manager" for the electronic system on our 2007 engines is my actual role.  Sounds more impressive than it should.   :-\

I work for a company in cental IL that makes big yellow machines, & is the #1 supplier of diesel engines to the on-highway truck market.  The name starts with Cat and ends with erpillar.  Know who it is?

My buddy Blufloyd works for the same.

What do I do for work?

As little as humanly possible!
I'm a-going to stay where ya sleep all day,
Where they hung the jerk who invented work
In the big rock candy mountains.

Another retiree here, and I don't mind tellin' you it's a miserable job!!!  No week ends off, no one to call in sick to, no overtime pay, and being my own boss, it's up to me to find things to do to keep me busy.  Oh well, guess I'll go fishin'.

I own and run a small construction company. Home remodeling, additions, stuff like that. You would think I could take off and go fishing when ever I felt like it but it's actually quite the opposite. I almost never have any free time. When you start a business that's supposed to be a good thing right?????   :P :P

Been retired 7 years now, and in the blizzard we got the other day, I was wishing I could phone in a "weather day", knowing that I'd still get paid for it.  Uhh.....wait a sec, I'm already getting paid to stay away from work.  Oh well, guess I'll just dream about going fishing.

I have a master's degree in electrical engineering in wireless communications, so it makes complete sense that I am a computer jockey doing help desk support with the federal government.
