Anyone ever fish just outside basin bay where the drop off is for lakers? I would like to get into some lakers and salmon this year and thought that might be a good place to start. I've caught lakers off that drop in the fall while smallmouth fishing. Any thoughts?

You should ask that question 17 times on the reports and conditions thread instead man.
Kidding kidding kidding.  ;D
I'm debating whether or not I should take Thursday off this week to fish and/ or sleep in after poker night.  ;D
For the regulars I fish with: Hit me up if you want to buddy up for a 3/4 day on Thursday. I'll try to work some magic with the bossman.

The wind has opened a good hunk north of French Mt and south of Dome. Hopefully it is calm tonight.

Any updates on Harris bay?  I'm planning on heading out on Thursday and praying for 4+ inches.  If less than 3 1/2 I'm turning around.  Look for the blue clam shanty and the two guys walking on their tip toes lol.

Only saw a few guys off MDB.. just too windy. There was still a lot of open water from Bolton south to Diamond point but the Northwest bay is locked up tight. How thick... I don't know..

Don`t waste your time trying for salmon. DEC stocks the salmon too small, and the lakers eat most of them. The King hasn`t been a good salmon fishery in 20 years. It is a prime laker lake though. You can pretty much catch lakers anywhere on the King. My buddy caught a nice 31" in 12 feet through the ice last year. The King is infested with lakers. :)
